Afghans & Sinbad

Finished the Findlay U afghan this week. It turned out ok (orange and black aren't generally my colors of choice). I'm going to hold onto it until after Memorial Day weekend to make sure there aren't any tweaks needed.

I decided to start another afghan as it's only supposed to be in the 50's to 60's. I wouldn't be into it but it's for my best friend's youngest daughter. I adapted the Betsy pattern from crochetpatterncentral.com into full-size for her mother's Christmas present. She loves red, white, and blue and (of course) flags. When her daughter saw it she thought it was for her as her birthday is the 4th of July. So guess what's she's getting for her birthday? I'd do just about anything for her girls (her too).

Watching the Seven Voyages of Sinbad (or something like that) while I work. It's hilarious what passed for special effects before I was born. My husband remembers going to the movies to see it when he was little. I think it's fun to watch him watch it.
